For those who don’t know me, I’ve been building tech startups in Manchester since ‘08: myParcelDelivery.com (now Sorted Group) & DueCourse (now Autopaid).
With DueCourse, we raised one of the largest rounds outside London at the time from some high profile investors.
It’s been a bumpy ride (🥴) but we’ve just had Autopaid funded by a London VC to take the business to the next level.
After 4 years as CEO, I’ve now decided to take a step away from the day-to-day operations as a cofounder takes over the reins.
I’ve been unable to talk about the journey much until now, but I’m getting back into the Manchester tech scene and want to pass on some of the lessons I’ve learnt along the way to help other Manchester founders.
(Any suggestions on the best ways to do this would be great!)
My main focus is now on helping other founders to raise money from investors (and investing myself as an Angel): www.FounderFundraising.com
I’d love to help out any founders from the Manchester tech community who are looking to/thinking of raising investment at the moment and pass on my experience/knowledge.
One idea I had to do this is to block out a day in my calendar and offer 20min call slots where I can pass on the benefit of my experience to anyone looking/thinking of raising investment.
Absolutely free of charge, no strings attached, and during the call I’m happy to cover anything you like: from reviewing pitch decks, to how much to raise, to valuations, to how to find investors, etc…
I’ve blocked out next Thursday (7th Feb), and you can book a slot here: https://calendly.com/paul_…/fundraising_help_call/02-07-2019
It’s on a first-come-first-served basis (and a few slots have already been taken by people I’ve mentioned the idea to) so grab one quickly / tag anyone you think would be interested below!
Thanks all, hope to speak to a few of you next Thursday! 😃
